As a photographer I often yearned to go to exotic places like Varanasi in India or Montana or Iceland in order to get better images. The thing with creativity is that it does not wait for circumstances to be ideal. The creative urge is like an itch that needs scratch. You may not know this, but people who live on the highveld often think it is a very boring area since it is flat and treeless. Its beauty however lies in the small things. A flower, a rock or a grass seed. Where photography meets spirituality is where something as ordinary as a grass seed can become the subject of a work of art. The alchemy of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. It is my honour and privilege to present to you my rendering of a common grass seed.
